{Local: Al Furat News} Today, Sunday, Mr. Al-Hakim congratulated the International Workers' Day {May 1}, calling for the implementation of the labor, retirement and social security laws.
In a congratulatory statement, Mr. Al-Hakim said: "On the first of May, we join the working class in Iraq and the world in its feast, amid hopes and ambitions with legislation and laws that do justice to it and compensate for the stages of hard work and perseverance and the journey of earning a decent living."
He added: "We call on the relevant authorities to apply the laws of work, retirement and social security in Iraq to preserve the rights of this toiling class and organize its relationship with employers in fairness to it and in order to achieve the principle of justice and equality, a salute of honor and love for the labor force."
