informed political source revealed, on Wednesday, the intention of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi to start negotiating with the coordination framework on his own after voting on the new deputies tomorrow, Thursday, indicating that al-Halbousi may get rid of his ally Khamis al-Khanjar.

The source said in a statement to “The Information” that “what troubles Al-Halbousi during the past days and after Sadrist’s resignation is his fear of the coup of his ally in the Sovereignty Alliance (Khamis Al-Khanjar) in cooperation with the Azm Alliance. He has to end the era of his presidency of Parliament.”
He added, "Al-Halbousi, who has 44 deputies, will increase by three after next Thursday's session by voting on the replacements of the resigned representatives from the Sadrist bloc," noting that "Al-Halbousi will send a delegation of leaders who progressed Thursday afternoon to feel the pulse of the framework regarding his position on the presidency of Parliament."
