Shafaq News/ The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, met today, Sunday morning, in the capital, Baghdad, with the head of the "Azm" coalition, Muthanna al-Samarrai.
A statement issued by the Presidency of the region stated that during the meeting, the latest political and security developments in the country were discussed, and the necessity and importance of joint cooperation of forces and political parties to overcome difficulties and support the new federal government for the success of its program was emphasized.
The statement added that during the meeting, which was attended by the delegation accompanying President Nechirvan Barzani, and a number of Azm leaders, the two sides stressed the consolidation of the spirit of partnership and citizenship, and the work of all parties as one team.
Today, Sunday, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, will visit Baghdad for one day, for the purpose of completing the agenda of meetings and meetings last week with Iraqi political leaders, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Region.
Nechirvan Barzani had interrupted his visit last week to Baghdad and returned to the Kurdistan Region to participate in the funeral ceremonies for the victims of the gas system explosion in the city of Dohuk.
The President of the region visited the capital, Baghdad, last Tuesday, and met with the President of the Republic of Iraq, Abd al-Latif Rashid, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, and a number of leaders and officials of the country and the Iraqi political forces and parties.
During his first visit, Nechirvan Barzani discussed the country's situation, relations and problems of Erbil-Baghdad, dialogue and efforts to solve them, and the latest developments in the region in general, in addition to a number of other issues.
