Today, Sunday, Minister of Planning Muhammad Ali Tamim stressed that the country's interests should not be allowed to be delayed, calling on the governorates and ministries to fulfill the listing requirements for projects in order to expedite their listing.
A statement stated that “the Minister of Planning confirmed that the governorates represent a key partner for the government in providing services to citizens, and this partnership calls for supporting the efforts of local governments, in terms of facilitating the requirements for the inclusion of projects, according to the instructions and controls in force.”

He added, "This came during the Minister of Planning's inspection tour to the Sector Planning Department in the ministry, for the purpose of identifying the nature of the work of the departments of this department and addressing the problems and challenges facing their work."
He directed "the departments and divisions concerned to expedite the completion of the requests of the governorates, ministries, and entities not associated with a ministry, related to the release of financial dues for work items completed in ongoing projects in accordance with the Financial Management Law of 2019."
And he stressed, “Not allowing the country’s interests to be delayed for any reason, calling on the governorates and ministries to fulfill the requirements for listing projects in order to expedite their inclusion by the Ministry of Planning.”
