According to the Comex classification of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures contracts in February were trading at USD1,821.45 an ounce at the time of writing, down by 0.22%.
It was previously trading at USD1,820.45 a session low. Gold may find support at USD1789.00 and resistance at USD1836.90.
The dollar index futures, which measures the performance of the greenback against a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.09% to trade at USD103.66.

Gold futures fell today, Wednesday, during the Asian session.
According to the Comex classification of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures contracts in February were trading at USD1,821.45 an ounce at the time of writing, down by 0.22%.
It was previously trading at USD1,820.45 a session low. Gold may find support at USD1789.00 and resistance at USD1836.90.
