    [size=30]A statement issued by the US Treasury Department confirmed Baghdad and Washington's emphasis on the importance of mutual commitment to AML/CFT measures.[/size]
    [size=30] The statement said, "The US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Wali Adimo, the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al-Alaq, discussed together the economic situation in Iraq and the government's plans to reform the economic and financial sector."[/size]
     
    [size=30]The statement added, "The two parties stressed the importance of mutual commitment to anti-money laundering and terrorist financing measures, and the continuation of bilateral economic relations between the United States and Iraq, which aim to strengthen the Iraqi economy."[/size]
