Today, Tuesday, the Salah al-Din Oil Fields Authority Directorate announced the start of rehabilitating and developing the Hamrin oil field.
The director of the Saladin Oil Fields Authority, Amer Khalil Ahmed Al-Muhairi, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, which was followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", under the direct supervision and guidance of the Minister of Oil, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hayan Abdul-Ghani, the Deputy Minister of Oil for Extraction Affairs and the Deputy Director General of the North Oil Company, The work of rehabilitating and developing the Hamrin oil field, which was halted due to ISIS terrorist gangs taking control of the field and destroying oil wells, equipment and pipelines, will begin.
He added, "The Hamrin field project will be implemented in cooperation between the North Oil Company and the Oil Projects Company," expecting "to increase production to 50,000 barrels per day of crude oil and 45 cubic meters of associated gas."
