    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Sunday, Minister of Communications Hayam al-Yasiri renewed her assertion that the copy of the budget sent by the government to Parliament is free of a proposal to return the packing card tax.
Al-Yasiri said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today": "We reiterate that the budget sent by the government to the House of Representatives did not include a text requiring the re-imposition of the tax on mobile phone and Internet cards, and the government is committed to its previously taken decision in this regard."
The Parliamentary Finance Committee had announced earlier, its vote to re-impose the packaging tax, but at a rate of 10%, only 3 months after its abolition by the government, after it was at a rate of 20%.
