Al-Jabri said, in an interview with the “After the Investigation” program broadcast by Al-Sumaria TV channel, that “gas investment needs a lot of money, because gas investment, whether associated or free, needs filtration operations and stations to isolate the gas (…).”

A member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee added, "The ministries concerned with the gas file have failed during the successive Iraqi governments to invest in the burning gas, in addition to the international and regional influences and the accompanying international wars."

He pointed out, "[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]After 2003, it became a weak country, often relying on other countries to enhance security and stability, so many wanted to obstruct gas investment in[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]One

" General, and there are countries that do not want Iraq to excel in the field of gas and oil.”

Al-Jabri went on to say, “One of the reasons for the failure of the previous licensing rounds is that the geographical areas in which gas was located were in dangerous places, making it difficult for international companies to produce positive results.”

And a member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee continued, that his committee "has observations on the licensing round contracts, but it is difficult to amend these contracts as they are international contracts and therefore[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]He will bear the costs," adding that "the House of Representatives and[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1956186754/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B7/ar/]Oil Ministry[/url]They resorted to amending the contracts of the sixth licensing rounds, which are better than their predecessors.”

He stressed that “there is a political will to invest associated gas,” noting that “burning gas causes cancerous diseases and environmental pollution in many residential areas.” Al-

Jabri He concluded by saying, "We submitted a proposal to legislate a law to support cancer patients, and so far its fate is unknown," pointing out that "the Kurdistan region has such a law since 2012."
