Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis, and his Syrian counterpart, Zuhair Khazim, completed their talks in Damascus on the various aspects of transport between the two countries, stressing the intensification of meetings of technical teams to overcome the difficulties facing the work of trucks, transit and land transport lines, in order to facilitate the work procedures of drivers and freight.
The two ministers discussed, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), during their presiding over the meeting of the general assembly of the Iraqi-Syrian Land Transport Company at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, “ways to advance and develop the company’s mechanisms, the technical status of trucks, and the formation of joint committees to study and strengthen its work to serve the two brotherly countries.”
The two ministers stressed the need to continue working to advance transport relations, which are considered a precursor to the integration of the economy, trade and tourism exchange, passenger traffic, especially road and railways, and the increase in flights, in addition to discussing aspects of international transport routes and investing in the geographical location of the two countries and the work of seaports in a way that serves the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
