    Today, Monday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs counted the number of disabled people registered with the ministry, while indicating the establishment of a special platform to provide people with disabilities with appointments.
    The head of the Authority for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs, Ali Al-Helou, said, in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "there is high-level coordination between the head of the Authority for Disability and Special Needs and the head of the Federal Service Council regarding allocating job grades for people of determination," noting that "appointment is from The competence of the Federal Service Council was estimated at 5 percent of the new grades for people with disabilities and special needs.
    He explained, "The authority has prepared a platform that will be announced in the coming days, allowing people of determination to apply to it in order to create a database that will be augmenting the base available to the authority."
    He added, "The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs addressed the governors and local governments regarding ensuring the share of people with disabilities within the 150,000 contractual degrees, which were added in the current year's budget to the governorates."
    He referred to "the statistics of persons with disabilities documented by the Commission, whose numbers are more than 400,000 persons with disabilities," noting that "the statistics are distributed in 6 agencies between the Ministry of Defense, the Interior and the Popular Mobilization Forces regarding people with disabilities from the security forces, as well as the Ministry of Health and the Environment, which Concerning the victims of mines and war remnants and the Martyrs Foundation, the Department of Victims of Terrorism.
