    {Politics: Al-Furat News} Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, this evening, Monday, a phone call from the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Anthony Blinken, during which they discussed the developments of the escalating events in the Gaza Strip, the worsening humanitarian situation of the Palestinian people, and stressed the importance of coordination to ensure Continuous and safe access to supplies of food, water, medical care, and other assistance required to meet the humanitarian needs of the people.
    According to the Prime Minister's Office, the call included "valuing Iraq's efforts to provide humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, and emphasizing the necessity of coordinating joint efforts to ensure stability in the region and not expand the arena of conflict." 
    The Prime Minister and US Secretary of State renewed the commitment of the two countries to continue strengthening their partnership, in accordance with the principles contained in the Strategic Framework Agreement concluded between Iraq and the United States.
    The Prime Minister also received another call from US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, during which they discussed the presence of military advisors and crews of the international coalition to fight terrorism in Iraq, supporting the Iraqi security forces with advice and training, and the importance of sustaining the victory over ISIS.
    The call witnessed a confirmation of Iraq's commitment to protecting military advisors and diplomatic missions operating in the country.
