Independent politician Osama Qais confirmed on Tuesday that the Democratic Party, headed by Masoud Barzani, has lost its political influence in three provinces.

Qais said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The December 18 elections brought many surprises in the political scene, the most prominent of which is the loss of Barzani’s party 50% of its influence in the provinces of Kirkuk, Nineveh and Diyala through the loss of the votes of its voters compared to previous rounds, and this shows the decline of its supporters, which pushes The party called for making sweeping changes to respond to the electoral catastrophe.
