     Information / Baghdad...
A member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, Representative Waad Al-Qaddo, confirmed on Sunday that there are preliminary understandings from 10 countries to support Iraq in the defensive fence project.

Al-Qaddo said in an interview with Al-Ma’louma, “America and other countries have for years obstructed any Iraqi attempts to build air defense systems capable of protecting the airspace from any external aggressions or attacks as part of the policy of weakening the country’s defensive walls.”
He added, "America does not want a strong Iraq and is trying, by obstructing any defense projects, to keep its airspace weak in the face of any violations," pointing out that "10 countries have expressed their desire to support Iraq's defensive walls in 3 directions: air defense systems and the air force, in addition to advanced radars."
He pointed out that "Iraq is proceeding with an independent policy approach to the armament file, as it is a national choice and one of the national security priorities that leads to securing the atmosphere, because most violations come through it."
Iraq has been subjected to repeated air attacks in recent years due to weak air defense capabilities. End 25 F
