    [size=45]The Ministry of Oil confirmed that the government is interested in the optimal development and investment of hydrocarbon structures and increasing oil and gas reserves and production in the western governorates.[/size]
    [size=45]The ministry’s spokesman, Assem Jihad, said, “The activities of the fifth supplementary and sixth licensing round ended today with the referral of 13 projects out of 29 projects,” indicating that “8 governorates will be included in these projects out of 13 projects.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “The Ministry will re-evaluate the projects that have not been referred after conducting a study and evaluation of the projects, given that these projects represent gas wealth with gas compositions, the majority of which are in Anbar Governorate,” pointing out, “The government and the Ministry are interested in the development and optimal investment of (hydrocarbon) structures in The western governorates, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, and other governorates.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that “the government wants to distribute these projects to the governorates to reflect positively on the economies of those governorates, in terms of financial support and to improve the infrastructure, urban reality, health and education, in addition to providing job opportunities in those governorates,” explaining that “the government also seeks to achieve its main goal.” It is to increase oil and gas reserves and production in those governorates.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that “13 projects have been referred to specialized international companies, and the Ministry will continue its efforts to cooperate with international companies, conclude contracts, and provide the appropriate investment environment for these projects.”[/size]
