    Government Economic Advisor Mazhar Mohammed Saleh reviewed today, Sunday, the reasons for the government and parliament’s move to cancel the “Arab Economic Unity Agreement,” which was signed on June 3, 1963.

    In the previous session of[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]The Council approved the draft law to cancel the agreement and referred it to the House of Representatives, which is preparing to vote on the cancellation.

    Government advisor Mazhar said:[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/4035107712/%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%AF %D8%B5%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD/ar/]Mohammed Saleh[/url]"Despite the passage of more than sixty years since the signing of[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/4058000347/%D8%A7%D8%AA%D9%81%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%AD%D8%AF%D8%A9/ar/]Unity Agreement[/url]Arab economic, but it encountered great difficulties in achieving the principles of the minimum steps towards complete economic unity among the member countries.

    He stressed that “in light of the above, it has become useless to adhere to a restrictive regional economic organization that has not provided anything real for joint Arab action for six decades,” according to Al-Sabah newspaper.
