To detect illegal goods.. Iraqi customs implements a new system

The General Authority of Customs revealed new details related to the sonar devices "RapScan" for detecting violating goods at ports.
The head of the authority, Hassan Al-Aqili, said in a statement that "the mechanism for customs inspection of goods is carried out using (RapScan) devices, and these devices provide multiple images, and a customs employee stands behind the screens to analyze these images and determine the densities present within the image, as well as determine violations and prohibitions," indicating that "the physical method is then used by opening containers to view their contents and details."
He added that "the authority also has radiation detection devices specialized in detecting goods that contain any radioactive indicator, in addition to that there are drug detection devices that we are working on in cooperation with the security services present at the border ports."
Al-Aqili continued that "the sonar in the Grand Welcome Square has been linked to the Asycuda system that works with artificial intelligence," indicating that "the images will be matched, and after a period of time the system will build a base from those images, and stop prohibited materials using artificial intelligence."
