Study: Iraq war cost the United States more than $ 2 trillion

    Thursday 14 March 2013 16: 27 GMT

    Alsumaria news/Beirut

    A
study published Thursday, that the US-led war in Iraq has cost the
United States $ 1.7 trillion in addition to 490 billion dollars in
benefits for veterans, adding that expenses may increase to more than $ 6
trillion over the next four decades to calculate benefits.

    The
study showed "war costs" project "prepared by the Watson Institute for
international studies at Brown University, that" the war which killed
134,000 Iraqi civilians at least and probably contributed to the deaths
of four times that number, "stating that" by adding toll between
security forces and militants, journalists and humanitarian workers
brings the total number of war dead in Iraq to between 178 and 189 a
    person. "

The report was published, in which about 30 academics
and experts before the 10th anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq
    on March 19, 2003.

The report is an update of a report issued by
the Watson Institute 2011 before the 10th anniversary of the September
11 attacks on the United States, and as far as the cost in dollars and
the number of people killed in the wars of Afghanistan, Pakistan and
Iraq, according to the study, the combined cost of the war at least $
3.7 trillion based on actual disbursements from the Treasury and future
obligations such as medical claims and related disability claims for
    Veterans Americans.

Those estimates rose to almost $ 4 trillion
in the updated report (2013) also increased estimates of deaths caused
by three wars in the past have ranged from between 224 and 257 to 272
Alpha Alpha alpha and 329 after two years.

    The report did not
include died indirectly because of the exodus of doctors and the
destruction of infrastructure, for example, also did not include the
trillions of dollars in the United States has paid benefits over the
    next 40 years.

The report said that "on Iraq war expenses could reach four trillion dollars during this period."

    The
report also discussed the burden faced by us veterans and their
families veterans showed a significant social cost and increased
    spending on them.

2011 study found that medical claims and
disability claims for Veterans after 10 years of war amounted to $ 33
billion, and two years later the figure rose to 134.7 billion dollars.

    The
report concluded that "the United States did not win the little war
while they caused a shock to Iraq", adding that "war has been active in
the hardcore Islamist and wounded women's rights setback and weakened
the already weak health care system".

    "Reconstruction efforts at a
cost of 212 billion dollars largely failed with most spending this
amount on security or loss due to waste and fraud."

    US troops
pulled out of Iraq completely by December 31, 2011 under a security
agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington at the end of November
2008 and stated that all u.s. forces will withdraw from all land, water
and airspace no later than 31 December of the year 2011, having
withdrawn, under the Convention, from towns and villages and kasbahs in
    the 30 June 2009.

Iraq was signed and the United States also, in
2008, the strategic framework agreement to support Iraqi ministries and
agencies in the transition from the strategic partnership with the
Republic of Iraq to the areas of economic, diplomatic, cultural and
security, based on reducing the number of provincial reconstruction
teams, as well as providing sustainable rule of law mission including
police development programme and completion of the work of coordination,
supervision and report of Iraq relief and reconstruction.

American studies: Iraq war cost $ 4 trillion and profits of Washington Iraqi corruption

    Range/Baghdad

    The
Iraq war has cost 2 trillion dollars and killed 176 thousand according
to us studies also predicted to increase to more than six trillion
dollars over the next four decades, with the fiction that the war was
"profitable" to United States companies, according to other studies, the
    us also.

The studies also says that Iraq has developed is the
largest in the region in imports because of the high oil production
which is the lifeblood of the local economy, but analysts were quoted by
the studies say that strong economic growth was not accompanied by
improvements in living conditions and service because of widespread
corruption, and movement studies models of rampant corruption in
    government departments.

New study reveals published today that
the costs of the US-led war on Iraq has reached more than 1.7 trillion
dollars with the addition of 490 billion dollars in benefits for the US
Army and combatants are expenses could grow to more than 6 trillion
dollars in the next four decades benefits.

    And the study on
research by the Watson Institute of scientific studies at Brown
University in America about the war cost at least 134 Iraqi civilians
were killed 100,000, welatstbad study that the war has contributed to
the deaths of four times that figure.

A study says that if we add
other toll from security forces, journalists and humanitarian workers
as well as the militants, the number of war dead will rise from
    approximately 189.000 176.000 people dead.

    This report was
published that work more than 30 academics and experts before the tenth
anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq, which falls on the 19th of
    March.

This report is an update to the study published by the
Institute of Watson in 2011 on us war costs to both Iraq and Afghanistan
and Pakistan, where it says that the combined costs reached 3.7
trillion dollars based on real numbers from the US Treasury and future
commitments of expenditure on war-disabled American Veterans, the study
estimates now reach $ 4 trillion cost.

    The report notes that
America has earned a little while Iraq war seriously affected the war
led to the revival of the armed extremist groups and led to the
deterioration of women's rights and also weakened the health-care system
already suffering from instability, while wasting more than 212 billion
dollars earmarked for reconstruction efforts in Iraq and spent on the
security aspect and roared through fraud and forgery.

    However,
another study says that "Iraq registered the highest economic growth
rate among all Arabic countries during the past few years the fourth
largest oil reserves in the world and seeks to be one of the biggest oil
    producers in the world."

    According to the Central Bank
statistics, the GDP growth rate reached during the year 2012 to 10.5%
and is highest in the Middle East and higher than previously forecast,
the Central Bank says that GDP will grow at a rate of at least 5.8
percent per year between 2012 and 2016.

    And Iraq production to 3
million bpd in 2012 and is expected to increase, as Iraqi oil Minister
last year, saying it expected production of 8 to 8.5 million barrels per
    day by 2017.

A report by the institution (Merle Lange) world
economic and administrative consultancy published last year that "Iraq
will become one of the fastest developed aksadia during the past 2012
and 2013, US Bank expects a flat rate for the growth of the Iraqi
economy by 9% for the period from 2012 to 2017/and affirms that this
growth was primarily attributable to the increase in the country's oil
    production.

But the study also says that despite ten years
despite success in moving towards development and reconstruction after
the war and indications that Iraq is one of the most important countries
economically in the world, there are many things being abnormally in
the growth of the economy of this country, where poverty is spreading
unabated and equitable distribution of wealth of the country.

    And
the movement of Arab news sites for economic analysts reiterated that
"this anomaly in the Iraqi economy have led to many of the sons of Iraq
sank deeper into poverty, especially in Baghdad and allowed the
emergence of an environment of corruption."

    Experts say that "the
poverty rate in Iraq more than 30% increase in some regions and
provinces to more than 50% such as Muthanna and Al Kut and Amarah,"
adding that this unreasonable "in the country daily oil production to
    more than 3 million barrels.

    Economists assert that "non-coherent
State, where armed groups working to protect and control the country's
wealth and find the sums controlled by poverty and other sinking funds
    because of corruption."

But this does not mean that American
companies did not profit, as an official US report shows "published a
sixth of us money spent on Iraq's reconstruction of 60.5 billion dollars
over the past ten years has been wasted through fraud and corruption",
adding that "most of this money went to u.s. companies.

    The
report highlights the particular cases of financial corruption practices
by one of the major suppliers of secondary contractors with us
companies and is the admin on the Iraqi projects materials processing
thousands of dollars, including for example processing keyboard control
of the price of $ 900 a piece while the real price $ 7.50 processing
pipe piece for $ 80 while no greater than $ 1.41 forty-one cents.

    And
interestingly most of the reconstruction projects in Iraq were carried
out by us companies with contracts at several billion dollars, to
prevent too much foreign and domestic firms to submit bids for
    participation in such projects.

Ok lets say 1 million investors that pay at least $2000.00 in taxes, (and we know it will be way more than that) doesn't that alone pay for the initial war cost? Maliki said, the US will be well paid back and the troops as well, I never figured out how the troops statement played into it but I do see the war paid in full as far as the investment into the war, money wise ONLY!
