Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed with the agents of the Ministry of Oil and the general managers to increase natural gas production.
A statement by the Information Office of the Prime Minister today: "The Abadi chaired a meeting of agents and general managers in the Oil Ministry, was discussed detail of the plans and strategy in the work of the ministry's future and raise the profile of the oil sector of the country and the completion of projects that contribute to its evolution."
The statement pointed out that "it was stressed to walk the projects are economically feasible and that the perpetuation and increase production and overcome all the obstacles to complete them contribute," noting that he "was taking a series of decisions and directives that contribute to increased natural gas production and the advancement of these projects, especially the gas # Basra."
The statement continued, "It was discussed a number of topics listed on the agenda and that relate to cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and export pipeline and take appropriate action."
