US Congress requesting information on the sale of smart bombs to Saudi Arabia

A group of members of the US Congress, they asked for more information from President Donald Trump's management on the possible sale of precision-guided munitions to Saudi Arabia.
And signed by 30 members, mostly Democrats, a letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rex Tillerson, Minister of Defense, James Mattis, citing expectations that the administration intends to proceed with the deal.
The letter said: "Just as Tarafan the previous administration took the decision in December 2016 decision to stop selling precision-guided munitions to Saudi Arabia because of fears of civilian casualties on a large scale and significant deficiencies in the targeting capabilities of the Saudi Air Force."
She added: "In the interest of our national security, as well as our Saudi partners, to ensure that the Saudi Air Force has the ability to avoid civilian casualties before they sell the United States any ammunition Joe additional land."
The lawmakers, led by Democrat Ted Liu, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives: "There are recent reports indicate that the State Department changed the track now and raised comment on the sale of these munitions precision-guided."
In last December, the Obama administration has decided to stop the sale of systems of production company Raytheon turning bombs into precision-guided munitions to concerns about the size of civilian casualties during the Saudi campaign in Yemen.
Told aides in Congress, "Reuters" Trump administration is about to send a formal notification to Congress on the deal, which will launch a formal review process for a period of 30 days, allowing members of Congress try to pass legislation to stop any sale.
Earlier, Trump said he wanted to pave the way for US arms sales abroad to support the efforts of partners of the United States to fight tight groups to help provide American jobs.
And he informed his administration in recent Congress recently that it also plans to continue military sales to Nigeria and Bahrain, which had been postponed during Obama's rule due to concerns about the rights Alansan.anthy / 25 m
