[ltr]TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran could technically enrich uranium to a higher level than before the nuclear deal was reached, Iran's Atomic Energy Organization chief Ali Akbar Salehi said on Monday, state television reported.[/ltr]
[ltr]Salehi warned US President Donald Trump of withdrawing from the nuclear deal, saying "Iran is not maneuvering ... Technically, we are fully prepared to enrich uranium to a higher level than it was before the nuclear agreement was reached." I hope Trump will return to his senses and not withdraw from the agreement, .[/ltr]
[ltr]Last January, US President Donald Trump gave European countries 120 days, ending in May, to amend the nuclear deal, which he described as "horrendous flaws."[/ltr]
[ltr]"Iran is acting worse after signing the nuclear agreement" with European and Western countries in 2015, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Sunday.[/ltr]
[ltr]He added in remarks from Riyadh that "withdrawing from the nuclear agreement with Iran will be our choice in case it has not been modified," noting that "the agreement in its current form did not succeed in deter Iran in many areas."[/ltr]
