A parliamentary source said on Saturday that a meeting was held between five institutions to legislate the law of access to information.

The source said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "a joint meeting held today, between Parliament and the Interior and the Press Syndicate, the Commission on Human Rights and the Information and Communications Commission to discuss the legislation of the law of access to information."

The source, who asked not to be named, said that "the meeting was held under the chairmanship of First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan al-Kaabi and the presence of the representative of the Ministry of Interior Saad Maan."
