Electricity: We will supply 20% of solar energy in 2030

Economy News - Baghdad:
The Minister of Electricity, Louay al-Khatib, said that 20% of the electricity supply during the year 2030 will be renewable energy.
"The Ministry of Electricity is working very hard on the renewable energy sector," he said during an intervention to the first session of the Iraq Energy Forum 2019, which was attended by the Economy News.
He stressed that "the Ministry of Electricity is working to establish solar areas and we will enter during the next year 1000 megawatts of renewable energy."
"We hope to reach 20% of processing during 2030," he said.
