Religious authority proposes conditions for choosing Abdel Mahdi's alternative, one of which would be "one of the Arab tribes"

Religious cleric Qassem al-Taie on Thursday proposed several conditions in choosing a replacement for outgoing Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, including being an Arab and at least 50 years old.
"The candidate must be an Iraqi from both the parents and the Arab tribes who are deep in the historical depth, and do not hold two nationalities, but one Iraqi, and that at least fifty years old has held positions in the state not less than 20 years in graduate degrees. "
He added that the candidate should be known for his good behavior and the sobriety of his personality, the high culture in his tribe, respectful in his cohabitation, and the holder of an academic degree not less than a bachelor or its equivalent and exclusively from Iraqi universities. Social, neither poor nor destitute, nor excessive rich. "
He also stipulated that "be guaranteed by at least ten original sheikhs of Iraqi Arab tribes, and that he has not been sentenced or imprisoned for a felony, but not an offender in the course of his life, and that he is not from the parties or political blocs that participated in power throughout the sixteen Past years. "

"He prefers that the candidate should be one of the Arab tribes that extend all over Iraq, that is, it has an extension in southern, central and northern Iraq," he said.
