    {Baghdad: Al-Furat News} The head of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, Walid Sahlani, confirmed today, Sunday, that there are government measures identified in the budget regarding the issue of contracts, and ministries and companies are obligated to implement them.

    Al-Sahlani told Al-Furat News Agency that "there are government measures specified in the budget regarding the issue of contracts, and ministries and companies are obligated to implement them," noting that "this matter depends on the financial cover, and the issue concerns companies."
    The head of the Parliamentary Services Committee indicated that "the management of these companies must deal with the issue of contracts very seriously, and try to find a marketing advantage for their products and provide financial cover for this segment."
    He added that "there are losing companies and holding them responsible for contracts that are unable to provide the salaries of their employees. There must be government intervention to solve them."
    Parliament approved on Wednesday evening March 31 the fiscal budget for 2021, which amounted to 101 trillion and 320 billion and 141 million and 985 thousand dinars (about 90 billion dollars), while the budget revenues were estimated at 129 trillion and 993 billion and 291 million dinars (about 105 billion dollars); While the total deficit reached 28 trillion and 672 billion and 867 million dinars (about 20 billion dollars).
    One of the reasons for the delay in passing the draft of the financial budget was the parliamentary objection to the addition of deductions from the salaries of public sector employees that were canceled by the House of Representatives, as well as the imposition of tax and collection unfairly, as Iraqis see it.
