Cabinet votes to reorganize revenues
On Wednesday, the Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting, headed by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
In the first paragraph of the meeting, the mechanism for implementing Article 5 of the Reform Law No. 2 of 2021 was discussed regarding the organization of allocations and their distribution to the beneficiaries according to the laws, while the second paragraph dealt with local revenues in the Kurdistan Region and the role of ministries in maximizing and reorganizing them in order to serve Public interests, and review of service fees.
The Council voted today, on two draft laws, "Amending the Law of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region" to form a general directorate in the Ministry of Finance and Economy to regulate the insurance sector and monitor private sector companies in insurance activities and their follow-up, as well as the law on "production and import of seeds and seedlings, registration, approval and protection of agricultural varieties), Which aims to regulate and encourage the private sector to produce seeds and seedlings and regulate their import under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources.
