    Today, Wednesday, the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region held its periodic weekly meeting headed by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani.
    A statement from the council stated that “the first part of the meeting witnessed a discussion regarding the mechanism for implementing Article 5 of the Reform Law No. (2) of 2021 regarding the reorganization of allocations in light of the laws in force, and in a manner that ensures their distribution to the beneficiaries, taking into account justice in their disbursement under the laws Applicable ”.
    He added, "The second paragraph in the agenda was devoted to a presentation on local revenues in the region and the role of the relevant ministries in maximizing revenues, diversifying their sources and reorganizing them in a way that serves the public interest. A review of service fees was also conducted."
    And he indicated that “the Council of Ministers then voted on two draft laws (amending the law of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region) to form a general directorate in the Ministry of Finance and Economy to regulate the insurance sector in the region and monitor private sector companies in the field of insurance activities in the region and follow them, as well as a law (production and import Seeds and seedlings, registration, approval and protection of agricultural varieties), which aims mainly to regulate and encourage the private sector to produce seeds and seedlings and regulate their import under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources.
