    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

The Ministry of Electricity announced coordination with the Ministry of Oil to establish liquefied gas platforms and convert them to dry to operate a number of production stations, while confirming the presence of a government approach to rehabilitating Iraqi gas fields, and not relying on the supply of gas from any country, amid the continued Iranian silence on Iraqi demands to re-pump Gas.
"The ministry has activated its coordination with the Ministry of Oil in several directions, including the establishment of liquefied gas platforms in Basra and other cities that would convert liquefied gas into dry to operate a number of production stations," said Ahmed al-Abadi, spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity. This is within the framework of the government's endeavors to reduce imported gas and not rely on a unilateral source, ”indicating that“ there are technical committees formed within the powers of the Ministerial Council for Energy between the ministries of oil and electricity, to implement quick-term plants that depend on their operation on the associated gas that is now burning, instead of it being burned "There will be stations that will be installed to supplement the system with additional cards."

He added that "the ministry stands at one distance from the concerned companies specialized in supplying gas to Iraq, and that the government's efforts are directed towards rehabilitating the Iraqi gas fields, and not to rely on supplying gas from any country," adding that "work is underway in this aspect, but it requires time." Stressing that "the ministry has no reservations about any company, and there are discussions with the Qatari side to supply gas, provided that it matches the price and the required specifications."

He explained that "those responsible for the fuel plan are the ministries of oil and electricity, which have expressed the desire to provide gas, and now the Ministry of Oil has a great effort to provide gas locally, as it succeeded in laying a Qatari pipeline to equip Salah al-Din station and provide national gas to some stations." Fills the need at this stage.

Al-Abadi affirmed that “General Electric and Siemens are continuing to implement their work in implementing the first phase of the works entrusted to them and are past under the supervision and knowledge of the Ministry and with time ceilings, and there are works that they do such as installing cooling systems for the stations to raise the level of production loads in many stations and establishing transfer stations. The secondary 400 and 132 (KV) have entered 46 stations, including the establishment of the obstetric units in Dhi Qar governorate and work on periodic maintenance in the stations (Kirkuk, Debs and Al-Khairat), ”noting that“ the two companies will go through the other phases depending on financing and loans. ”
