After revealing to Shafak News... Al-Kazemi's office resolves the civil defense file in the Green Zone
Shafaq News/ An informed source in Baghdad stated, on Thursday, that a decision was issued by the Prime Minister's Office to allocate an alternative location for the Civil Defense Center in the Green Zone.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, that the decision came a day after a directive was issued to the center to evacuate, without specifying an alternative place for it.
He added that the new directive stipulated allocating a site for the center within the green zone and within the limits to be determined by the Real Estate Directorate, provided that the transfer of the fire station would be postponed until the rehabilitation of the new site was completed.
Yesterday, Wednesday, a source told Shafaq News Agency, that the Directorate of Real Estate Affairs of the Green Zone - affiliated with the Office of the Prime Minister -, without prior warning or finding an alternative location, informed the Civil Defense Center to vacate its headquarters within a few days, by order of higher authorities.
And he indicated that "the center is one of the state's real estate registered in the name of the Civil Defense Directorate, and it is also a firefighting and rescue center dedicated to the entire Green Zone and an international training center for specialized officers."
