    Saadi Ahmed Bira, a member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, confirmed that there is no rapprochement between his party and the Kurdistan Democratic Party regarding reaching a consensus on the presidential candidate, indicating that the two parties are waiting for the decisive decision expected by the Federal Court early next month.

    In statements to “Nas Cord” correspondent (February 26, 2022), Bira explained that “what was reported about efforts to reach a consensus candidate between the two parties after the federal ruling was postponed a few days ago, is incorrect, and the situation is still the same, and everyone is waiting for the Federal Court’s ruling regarding reopening the door.” Candidacy for the second time in early March, and then proceed to the presidential race, each with its own candidate."   
      
    And the Federal Court postponed, on Wednesday, the ruling on opening the door for nomination for a second time for the position of the presidency of the republic.  
    The Federal Court held its deliberative session in the appeal against the decision to open the door for nomination for the post of President of the Republic twice.  
    And the court’s media stated in a brief statement, received by “Nass” (February 23, 2022), that “the Federal Court is holding its deliberative session in the appeal against the decision to open the door for candidacy for the post of President of the Republic No. (4) on 2/8/2022.”  
    According to the federal decision, the postponement took place until the first day of next month.      
      
      
    The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Sirwan Abdullah Sereni, said on Friday that the Democratic Party's candidate for the presidency, Riber Ahmed, is a "real safety valve" for the Iraqi people.  
    An article by the Secretary-General of Parliament published by the newspaper "Al Fraternity", followed by "Nass" (February 25, 2022), stated that "Reber Ahmed's nomination for the presidency of Iraq was widely accepted and supported by the Iraqi political parties, due to his long-standing character of struggle and his role in fighting dictatorship and tyranny and his participation in it." The vast and large ranks of the Peshmerga and his confrontation with his comrades, the heroes of the former regime, and he was known for assuming any position his view that does not disappoint in all matters, his clear calm, and his calmness in making decisions and studying them before expressing any position or opinion, and pursuing the utmost justice in dealing with citizens. And their issues, problems and demands in all the positions he held, the latest of which is his current position as Minister of the Interior.  
    He added, "The character of Reaper Ahmed is the most fortunate and the most worthy in assuming the position of President of the Republic, due to the current conditions that are taking place in Iraq and what the Iraqi political arena and its Arab, regional and international surroundings are witnessing, which requires that there be fixed specifications that must be met by any person holding the position of President of the Republic. Which applies to him, the most important of which is that he enjoys high charisma of public acceptance, a great deal of political diplomacy, far-sightedness, and his ability to take decisions in difficult situations.  
    And Sereni said that "it will become a safety valve for Iraq and the Iraqis, given his thinking, planning, his next strategy, and his understanding of everyone without discrimination. It will be his first work and the first step he takes as president of the republic."
