    Today, Monday, in the capital, Baghdad, the meeting of political consultations between Iraq and India, at the level of the undersecretaries of the two countries' foreign ministries, which was held at the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concluded.

    During the political consultations, a number of important issues were discussed in terms of bilateral relations, and future practical steps to expand cooperation in the political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and security fields, as well as preparation for holding meetings of the Iraqi-Indian joint committee expected to take place next June, in addition to the exchange of high-level visits. And the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding and bilateral agreements in various fields.

    At the conclusion of the political consultations meeting, the Indian side handed, according to the statement, "an official invitation addressed to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to visit the capital, New Delhi."
