Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs clarified the details of the professions platform for providing job opportunities through the private sector, indicating that this platform is the first experience in Iraq to connect young job seekers with the private sector.
The ministry's spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, said, "The ministry, after its cooperation with a number of international organizations and through the national service government, which has prioritized attention and support for young people and provides all means that qualify them to engage in the labor market. A careers platform was launched to employ young job seekers." ".
He added, "The professions platform is considered the first platform in Iraq to link young people looking for work with the private sector, and to provide the skilled and diverse labor it needs to encourage and stimulate the labor market."
He pointed out, "The importance of information and communication technology at the present time to advance progress and development in the world, so the Ministry launched a professions platform to enable young people to reach companies and business owners, as well as to government and private departments and centers concerned with training and work."
Last Wednesday, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced the launch of the (Mahan) platform to employ job seekers in the private sector.
The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) confirmed that the launch of the (Mahan) platform is evidence of the agency's commitment to its partners, while it announced other and new projects in Iraq after the launch of the (Mahan) platform.
While the European Union mission to Iraq affirmed its support for the Iraqi government's efforts to provide job opportunities, especially for young people.
