the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, launched a major campaign targeting the hidden roulette halls in the capital, Baghdad.
An informed source said, in an interview with Mawazine News, that "Al-Shammari launched a major campaign against the roulette parlors that operate secretly in the capital, Baghdad, and four parlors were closed in separate areas of the capital."
He added, "The campaign also resulted in the arrest of about 200 people inside roulette halls, gambling and alcohol venues, and this is just the beginning. The halls are dedicated to gambling and corruption," noting that "the campaign continues and is part of the Minister of Interior's response to the complaints of residents of the capital, Baghdad."
He pointed out, "The campaign does not only target roulette halls, but also includes unlicensed beauty centers, smuggling and illegal businesses."
For his part, the politician Haider Al-Mulla said: "In a previous tweet, I said the free fat is over. Today, the Minister of Interior, Abdul-Amir al-Shammari, closed the roulette halls.
