    On Wednesday evening, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, discussed with a high-level American delegation the relations between the region and Washington, and the development of the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad.[/size]
    [size=45]According to a presidential statement, the US delegation was headed by Dana Stroul, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs, and consisted of General MacFarlane, commander of the coalition forces in Syria and Iraq, and a number of diplomats and officials in the US Department of Defense, the US Embassy in Baghdad and the US Consulate General in Erbil.[/size]
    [size=45]In the meeting, they discussed America's relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the relations of Erbil and Baghdad, negotiations to solve problems between them, and the latest developments in the ISIS war, in addition to the reforms of the Peshmerga Ministry and steps to unify the Peshmerga forces.[/size]
    [size=45]The two sides agreed that ISIS still poses a threat in Iraq and Syria, and stressed the importance of continuing joint cooperation to confront the dangers of ISIS and protect the security gains achieved. In this regard, the American delegation renewed its country's support and continued assistance and support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
    [size=45]The importance of continuing work and intensifying efforts was also reaffirmed for the success of the process of reforming, organizing and unifying the Peshmerga. In this regard, the American delegation expressed their thanks to Barzani for his efforts and his effective role in this process.[/size]
    [size=45]They reaffirmed America's continued support for this operation, and conveyed the greetings of the US Secretary of Defense to Barzani.[/size]
