The National Security Advisor reveals Iraq's most prominent measures at the Seventh Ambassadors Conf

[rtl]During his participation in the Seventh Ambassadors Conference held in Baghdad during the period from 4 to 8 November 2023, the Iraqi National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, revealed a set of measures and initiatives that Iraq has taken to deal with security issues and national challenges. [/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Araji revealed the presence of terrorists from 60 countries in the Syrian Al-Hawl camp, most of whom are from Iraq and Syria, and their number is estimated at about 10,000 foreign terrorists.[/rtl]
[rtl]He said, “Iraq announced a wise decision to voluntarily transfer Iraqi nationals to Al-Jadaa Camp and integrate them into rehabilitation programs, and then 1,567 families were transferred from Al-Hawl Camp to Al-Jadaa Camp for rehabilitation.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, “900 Iraqi families were returned to their original areas after the rehabilitation and integration processes were completed, and 2,945 Iraqis accused of terrorism were transferred to the Ministry of Interior to be brought before the judiciary and trials conducted in accordance with Iraqi laws. "[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that there is high coordination between the forces of the Ministry of Defense and the Peshmerga through a national intelligence council and joint coordination areas, and pointed out that all Iranian opposition militants have been transferred to remote areas and the previous sites have been occupied, With the plan to place them in special and remote camps as well.[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that “intelligence work fields were distributed to avoid overlap in tasks and powers,” adding, “New stages began in professional security and intelligence work after the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces approved the distribution of intelligence work fields. “[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained that “the National Security Advisory supervised the security memorandums of understanding between security institutions and countries and agencies of the world, where a strategy was prepared to combat violent extremism and reject hatred under the supervision of the National Security Advisory, and great coordination was also emphasized between the National Security Advisory and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on important issues.”
