Al-Alawi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The return of the provincial councils is very important to provide services that meet the needs of citizens.”
He added, "There is interest from political forces in holding elections to monitor the work of the governor and government departments in the governorate."
He pointed out that "provincial council elections represent a constitutional necessity, especially after the formation of the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and its ministerial platform," noting that "provincial council elections will take place on the scheduled date next December."
It is noteworthy that the head of the Ajyal Alliance list, MP Muhammad Sadoun Al-Sudani, had confirmed in previous statements that the provincial council elections will go ahead as scheduled, next December 18, without any postponement. Ended / 25 hours
