    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:[/rtl]
[rtl]The Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ali Razouki, revealed that there are "10,000 duplicate files out of 21,000 files in Anbar Retirement."[/rtl]
[rtl]Deputy Director of the Prime Minister's Office Ali Razouki said in a televised interview: “The file of victims of terrorism in Anbar is thorny and not easy,” noting that “there is intensive follow-up by the Prime Minister on this file, which reassures those who deserve it.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added: "The Prime Minister directly tasked his office to enter into this file." He explained that "in 2021, a file was raised in the Anbar Operations Command that there were large numbers of terrorists receiving benefits that were not their right and were included in the Martyrs Foundation Law. In light of that, a high-level committee was formed at the time by the Anbar Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Nasser Al-Ghannam.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the committee came up with several recommendations after it revealed that many terrorists enjoy the dues of martyrs' families. Among the recommendations was to stop the disbursement of dues until verification. The Martyrs Foundation made great efforts to activate and verify this file." He stressed that "in the current government, the file was activated and it turned out to be a large file related to the dues of some martyrs' families."[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued: “The Prime Minister recommended forming an audit committee headed by the Director General of the Martyrs Foundation to audit the files,” explaining that “the number of those whose salaries were stopped exceeding 30,000 beneficiary citizens.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He said: "We found 10,000 (copied) retirement files out of 20,900 files."[/rtl]
[rtl]For his part, the head of the Martyrs Foundation, Abdul-Ilah Al-Naili, said in the “Duty of Honesty” program: “The foundation came to work on a backlog of files, given that in 2009, Law 20 for victims of terrorism was voted on and was linked to the provincial councils.” He explained that “in 2015, Law No. 57, the first amendment to victims of terrorism, was enacted, and the category of victims of terrorism was added to the Martyrs Foundation, and a department was established in the foundation called the Department of Martyrs of Terrorist Operations and Military Errors.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added: “The subcommittees in the governorates are responsible for approving the files of martyrs, the injured, and property, because the terrorism file is divided into three: the damage caused by terrorism to property, the martyrs, and the injured,” noting that “when we took over the presidency of the institution, we did not find any file related to the victims of terrorism in all the governorates, and the subcommittees used to approve the files and immediately send them to retirement.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued: "When we went to the Retirement Authority, we found photocopied files," explaining that "there are approximately 65,000 approved files in Anbar, and all of its decisions are photocopied and not original," stressing that "there are doubts surrounding 30,000 Beneficiaries of salaries for victims of terrorism in Anbar."[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained that "we have audit committees in the Martyrs Foundation before forming the central committee that the Prime Minister ordered to be formed."[/rtl]
