    Baghdad Provincial Council revealed today, Tuesday, moves to raise the proposal to reduce the price of improved gasoline to 600 dinars instead of 850 dinars, i.e. at a lower price than the previous price that was changed only two months ago.

    The head of the Oil and Gas Committee in the Council, [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/923515849/%D8%B5%D9%81%D8%A7%D8%A1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B4%D9%87%D8%AF%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A/ar/]Safaa Al-Mashhadani[/url], said that "most families with limited income are unable to equip their vehicles with it, and resort to using regular fuel, which leads to vehicle breakdowns."

    He added that "the coming days will witness the submission of an official proposal to the General Secretariat of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url] to reduce the price of improved gasoline to 600 dinars per liter instead of 850."



    He pointed out that "the council is also working on reviewing the MasterCard used at gas stations because most citizens, especially the elderly, are unable to use it," according to Al-Sabah newspaper.

    Last May, the Iraqi government decided to raise the price of improved gasoline from 650 dinars to 850 dinars, due to the high cost of importing improved gasoline.
