Baghdad Governor Abdul Muttalib Al-Alawi announced on Saturday the allocation of financial amounts in the three-year budget to establish projects in Al-Zawraa district in the governorate.
Al-Alawi said in a televised statement, followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "financial amounts were allocated in the three-year budget (2023, 2024, 2025) to establish strategic projects in Al-Zawraa district, in addition to the projects currently under construction," noting that "these projects will change the reality of the district in the future."
He added that "the most prominent projects that will be implemented in the district will include the large Al-Zawraa water project, a large university, and a complex for official departments, in addition to the regular distribution of residential areas in the district."
He continued, "the projects will include sewage projects to relieve rainwater bottlenecks, and paving and cladding projects."
Al-Alawi stated that "the governorate began last week a major cleaning campaign that aimed to remove waste and debris and address problems in water, sewage, and other municipal services in Al-Zawraa district."
