Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the Service and Engineering Effort Team today, Saturday, to target complementary and emergency projects, while stressing the identification of suitable lands for the construction of school buildings.
A statement from the Prime Minister's Office received by (Mawazine News) stated that "the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the Service and Engineering Effort Team, where the implementation of complementary and emergency projects in Baghdad and the governorates for the year 2024 was followed up, in addition to reviewing the general framework plan for the team's projects during the year 2025."
The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of the team targeting projects that do not fall within the work of ministries, governorates or municipal departments, in order to overcome costs and avoid overlapping tasks between executive bodies."
The Prime Minister directed "to identify suitable lands for the construction of school buildings, complete the original approvals and transfer them to the Iraq Development Fund, to complete them according to the approved mechanisms and shorten time and effort."
He pointed out, "The importance of targeting main roads, water projects and infrastructure, with the best guidance, and in the path of achieving the best benefits within the approved allocations, within the framework of striving to achieve the service that the citizen feels, and that constitutes a priority in his needs and daily use."
