Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed, today, Saturday (August 17, 2024), the Service and Engineering Effort Team to target complementary and emergency projects.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "Al-Sudani chaired a meeting of the Service and Engineering Effort Team, where the implementation of supplementary and emergency projects in Baghdad and the governorates for the year 2024 was followed up, in addition to reviewing the general framework plan for the team's projects during the year 2025."
Al-Sudani stressed the "importance of the team targeting, with its efforts, projects that do not fall within the work of ministries, governorates, or municipal departments, in order to overcome costs and avoid overlapping tasks between executive bodies."
The Prime Minister directed to "identify the lands suitable for constructing school buildings, complete the necessary approvals and transfer them to the Iraq Development Fund, to complete them according to the approved mechanisms and shorten the time and effort."
He pointed out "the importance of targeting main roads, water projects and infrastructure, with the best guidance, and in the path of achieving the best benefits within the approved allocations, within the framework of striving to achieve the service that the citizen feels, and that constitutes a priority in his needs and daily use."
