    The Parliamentary Integrity Committee called on the Ministry of Education, today, Sunday, to reverse the decision to deduct from employees to build schools and kindergartens, while threatening to resort to the judiciary.

    Committee member Hadi Al-Salami said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "The Iraqi constitution does not allow deductions, taxes and fees except by law," noting that "the decision of the Ministry of Education to deduct sums from employees to build schools and kindergartens is wrong and violates the laws."



    Al-Salami added that the Integrity Commission has procedures regarding this file, which include contacting the Ministry of Education to cancel this decision, otherwise we will resort to the Iraqi judiciary.

    The Ministry of Education decided on July 29, 2024, to deduct sums of money from its employees for the national campaign to build schools and kindergartens.

    At the time, it issued a book containing the deductions, which amount to 4,000 dinars, 6,000 dinars, and 10,000 dinars, according to categories divided according to the book below:
