[size=45]Qassim Al-Dhalmi, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs and member of the Supreme Council for Youth, announced today, Sunday, the near completion of the requirements of the National Initiative for Electronic Payment Awareness, noting that it is characterised by the speed of completing financial transactions, ease of trading them and reducing the risks of cash transactions.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Dhalimi said, “The campaign to launch the national initiative to raise awareness of electronic payment, which was approved during the sixth session of the Council, has not yet begun, noting that work is still ongoing to complete the administrative requirements for it, and it will be announced soon when all related requirements are completed.”[/size]
[size=45]Regarding the preparations made by the Council, the spokesman said, “We have communicated with the Central Bank of Iraq, and held several sessions to exchange views, and provide us with the measures taken by it to facilitate the electronic payment process, noting that the campaign will be generalized to all Iraqi governorates, with the contribution of the teams formed by the Council and some youth organizations and volunteer teams in Baghdad and the governorates.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Dhalimi pointed out that “all segments of society, including students, workers, employees and business owners, will be targeted to introduce the advantages of electronic payment, the speed of completing financial transactions, the ease of dealing with them, and reducing the risks associated with cash transactions, in addition to improving the efficiency of government and private financial operations, and expanding the scope of financial services to include everyone.”[/size]
