Industry opens new factory for the production of pivot sprinklers

Yesterday, Sunday, Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm inaugurated a new factory for the production of pivot irrigation systems at the General Company for Construction Industries.
Al-Najm said in a press conference: There is importance in doubling the production of pivot irrigation sprinklers due to the recent increase in demand for them, due to their important role in addressing the water scarcity crisis.
He stressed the need for these sprinklers in order to sustain groundwater resources and preserve them for future generations. Therefore, the Ministry has developed the necessary plans to produce them, in order to cover local needs instead of importing.
It is noteworthy that the aforementioned factory was established in partnership with the private sector with a capacity of (1800) sprinklers annually (Dijlah brand) and with international specifications. It is also considered one of the government program projects in the field of supporting the agricultural sector and keeping pace with modern irrigation and mechanization technologies, and raising the level of national production.
