    The E-Governance Committee of the Baghdad Provincial Council has prepared a plan to launch the “Baghdadna” platform soon, which provides 25 services to citizens.

    The head of the committee, Muthanna Thaer Al-Azzawi, said, “The committee, within the plan it prepared, determined the priorities for the vision that was set during the next four years as the smart local government of Baghdad, as immediate goals were initiated that we are working to achieve.”



    He added, "The first goal is to launch the official government platform (Baghdadna) that represents the capital, and provides all services electronically in succession, after correcting the procedures, simplifying them and converting them into an electronic service to facilitate the procedures."

    Al-Azzawi explained, "This platform will fully represent Baghdad Governorate with all its sectors, including the departments that have severed their ties with the council, and work with all federal ministries through equipped employees representing the governorate and assigned to work in the directorate to receive complaints, suggestions and problems and present them to senior management to make a quick and appropriate decision that saves time for the citizen."

    The head of the committee confirmed that "there are initially 25 services that will be launched through this platform," noting that "there has been a project to establish this platform since 2019 and its funds have been allocated from food security to automate the governorate's departments."

    He pointed out that "the governorate needs to correct electronic administration procedures more than it needs the automation project and link all districts, districts and sectors to a single network."

    Al-Azzawi explained that "this platform will soon see the light of day, citing as an example one of the services that will be provided through this platform, which is the "student's electronic record", which manages the communication process between the student, his guardian and the school administration, after it was adopted by the e-learning division in the committee, as the guardian will be fully informed of the student's academic level through an electronic application in which the daily and monthly grades are placed and the extent of his activity and interaction in the classroom."

    He continued, "The plan sets clear and applicable strategic plans, with the availability of real will from the supervisory and executive body to pass such projects, especially since there is a directive from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, for digital and electronic transformation, simplifying procedures and automating departments based on the recommendation of the relevant international organizations."
