High oil due to decline in US production

Reuters reported a rise of oil futures by more than one per cent registered their highest levels in more than a week with encouraging buyers, small down last week in US crude production and ignoring a sudden increase in crude stocks in the largest oil consumer in the world.
The Energy Information Administration said US crude oil inventories in the United States rose by 118 thousand barrels last week, while the production of 100 thousand barrels fell to 9.3 million barrels per day.
It stepped up global Brent crude contracts for Brent crude to the nearest maturity of 66 cents, or about 1.4 percent, to reach at 47.31 dollars a barrel settlement, while the US Brent crude contracts for West Texas Intermediate rose 50 cents or 1.1 percent to $ 44.74.
