Shafaq News / A medical source in Basra Health Department revealed on Tuesday seizing a "big" quantity of unlicensed medicines sold through informal markets in the city.
“ The medical teams started inspections in Ashar area in the center of Basra city and seized large quantities of unlicensed medicines sold in informal ways,” the source told “Shafaq News”.
The source did not reveal the number or types of these medicines and its origins.
“The violators who were arrested will be referred to the competent judicial authorities,” the source added.
Basra Health Department had destroyed, earlier, large quantities of expired medicines sold in the markets of Basra in one of the hospitals incinerators in the city.
