    Information / Baghdad ..
Basra Governorate Council on Saturday expressed its strong reservation on the general budget law of 2018 because of the "injustice" that the province has been entitled to. The law reduced the petrodollars to about $ 2 billion, confirming that the total share of the province amounted to 360 billion dinars only.
Council member Ahmad al-Sulaiti said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "there are many observations and reservations on the general budget law for 2018 like the budgets in previous years," noting that "the law did not take into account the amounts of petrodollar."
He added that "the budget provided for the allocation of 5% of each barrel to the producing provinces and not five dollars, equivalent to about two dollars," explaining that "the total annual amounts of 5% of 10 trillion dinars, but the government did not allocate only 400 billion dinars to the provinces producing."
Al-Sulaiti pointed out that "the share of the province of Basra with the amounts of development of the provinces amounted to 360 billion dinars only," that "the debt of the province for the current year to 161 billion dinars, how will be able to repay the debt and carry out new projects under these allocations. Ending / 25
