The results announced by the Board of Commissioners of the Electoral Commission, on Friday, that the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr retained through the alliance of Ssron, who supports him at the top of the parliamentary elections on May 12 after the hand counting of votes.

[ltr]On Friday, the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) issued the results of the manual counting ordered by parliament in June after widespread allegations of irregularities cast a shadow over the integrity of the electoral process.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
The Commission said that the results of counting and manual counting in 13 of Iraq's 18 governorates are identical with the preliminary results.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
Three months after the elections, winning parties are still negotiating the formation of the next ruling coalition, with no sign of an impending outcome.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
The recount did not change the initial results significantly. Sadr kept the same 54 seats.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
The Fatah alliance led by Hadi al-Amiri remained in second place after Sadr's bloc but won an additional seat to become 48 seats, with the victory coalition headed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi in the third place with 42 seats.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
Sadr, who supports popular protests in southern provinces against poor services, unemployment and widespread corruption in state institutions, issued a list of 40 conditions the new prime minister must meet, including political independence, non-re-election and his bloc joining a coalition.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
He said he would be in political and popular opposition unless conditions are met.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
The partial counting and sorting process was launched on July 3, following the decision of the Federal Court issued under the appeals submitted to the third amendment to the law of the elections of the House of Representatives voted on June 6 last year.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
The results of the recent parliamentary elections have generated considerable controversy among the political circles, which called on the Council of Representatives to hold an emergency session on 6 June, during which voted on the third amendment proposal to the Law of the elections of the House of Representatives No. 45 of 2013, which included the re-counting and manual counting of all polling stations and the assignment of nine Judges for the administration of the Electoral Commission.[/ltr]
    [ltr]
Countdowns began in parliamentary elections in early July, bringing Iraq closer to a new government that was delayed for weeks.[/ltr]

So now we have the final results and nothing has changed.

A previous article saying teh government could be formed by Eid-Al-Adha which is from 21st August 18 to 25 August 18 so maybe things will start moving?
