    Oil prices closed on Saturday as protests in Basra intensified . 

    Brent crude for November delivery rose 53 cents, or 0.69 percent, to close at $ 77.03 a barrel. 

    US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 5 cents to $ 67.84 a barrel, up 7 cents, or 0.10 percent. 

    Protests intensified in the province of Basra, which contains most of the largest oil fields in Iraq to stop the work of some ports.
    A source in the company "Lukoil" that "protesters entered a treatment facility water field West Qurna 2 oil which is run by the company and detained two Iraqi staff on Friday."
